This is the about page. It’s all about brokenmoon solutions. I’m sure you think you want to know more, but do you, really?

Yes, I do. Spill it.

Okay, okay. Sheesh.

So, we’ve been quietly performing random acts of development, operations, devops, platform engineering, technical mentoring, and general computer black magic fuckery for quite a while now (since 2004, if the sidebar is to be believed, which it is … trust in the sidebar … THE SIDEBAR KNOWS).

You do dev stuff, huh?

We sure do! Over the last several decades, that’s involved throwing together novel text generation engines in C++ (which it turns out isn’t too incredibly different from what the cool kids call “transformers” these days, but without a neural network, so we’re not THAT cool), doing all kinds of stupid bash tricks, bootstrapping entirely too many startups via the magic of Ruby (and that dragon, Rails, for the most part), creating new cloud computing and PaaS offerings, etc.

We write a lot of code, but we write even more tests, preferably first. You’ll never hear us actually say this, but we think we’re pretty much experts in

  • Ruby (and Rails … and Hanami … and our own DRY-rb-based framework)
  • Dart (mostly with Flutter, but also without it)
  • Go (because Ruby is awesome, but distributing Ruby tools is not, and Go is awesome at that and a whole lot more stuff)
  • A heap of other languages and environments that we’re leaving out because we like the ones we already talked about so much
  • Literally any web-addressable API out there

We can also help you learn both yourself and your dev team to work better, if you’d rather just have a helping hand to not wish ill upon each other under your breaths.

You do ops stuff, huh?

We sure do!

Got a pile of UNIX/Linux/BSD boxen that you need shepherded? We’ll love you forever.

How about something fancy like a Kubernetes cluster or a CloudFoundry foundation? Samesies. We can hang out.

Got a bunch of Windows Server boxes? While we’re loathe to admit it and think it’s an overall terrible idea that never should have happened, we can get by with that, too, but we’d really like to talk some sense into you.
